At last! An electrician who comes when he says he will. The young man who came to fix my light was very polite, and I felt he was thorough in what he did. My light was flickering and getting very hot, and he tightened everything up, as that seemed to be the issue. He also took a photo of the light so that if is should need replacing, he knew what to order for me. You've got yourselves a new customer!! Thank you.

How much does it cost to rewire a property?

The exact price of rewiring a property will depend on a number of factors, including its size, nature and ease of access to the circuitry. After our initial consultation over the phone or via email, we’ll visit the site in question to ascertain the extent of the work required. At this point, we’ll issue you with a quote for our services, completely free of charge and with no obligation to proceed.

How long does it take to rewire a property?

Again, it’s impossible to give a rigid timeframe for every project, since each job is different. When we visit your property and give you our quote, we’ll also devise a schedule of works which will tell you how long we expect the rewiring to take.

Can I rewire my property myself?

Although it is possible to rewire a domestic property yourself, it’s highly inadvisable. Not only will doing so risk electrocution, fire or worse, but you may also render your insurance policy void. Furthermore, all domestic rewiring work is covered by Part P regulations, which means you must arrange for the council to inspect your property and make sure everything is up to code – at your own expense, of course. As a result, cutting corners by doing the work yourself can end up costing much, much more in the long run.

Are your electricians qualified and insured?

Every engineer at Prime Electrical carries NAPIT accreditation and will perform works compliant with Part P standards. They also hold public liability and private indemnity insurance, as is the law for registered electricians.
